About Us

I met my wife while attending California Baptist University in Riverside. We homeschooled our kids here and attend church here. Now that our girls are in college here, we started this family business to help pay for school. Seems like a crazy business idea but our family’s love of dogs has grown over the years as we’ve done Rover pet sitting and rescued racing greyhounds. Buzz and Perry are our 2 racers pictured lounging around the house and visiting the Mission Inn during Christmas.

With a background in psychology (with humans) Its been fun to binge watch Ceasar Milan do his “Dog Whispering”. While doing adoptions (human adoptions) I would assess all aspects of families before approving them. One of those factors was safety, including pets in the home, temperament, breed, etc. When we had a foster child get bit by a family’s dog, I began personally visiting each home and interacting with the pets before approving a home. A few would bark and charge but most were easily calmed by their owners.  Every time it felt like I was an impostor Ceasar Milan assessing dogs. When the owners preferred, I not interact with their dog, those were the cases where I really needed to get to know the dog and make sure they were safe. I’m no Ceaser Milan, I just offered my sacrificial limbs for the sake of the children…and I did get bit. Twice! Not too bad though and only twice over many years.

All these experiences our familys had with pets led us to start this business.  Besides biting people, the biggest issue with dogs is that they don’t clean up their Poop! The chore and question of “Whose turn is it to clean up dog poop” has been a source of arguments at our house over the years. Most people don’t enjoy it for obvious reasons. It’s not like “de-stressing” while gardening or doing yard work. And when it piles up it’s a sore subject … while also making the backyard unusable and smelly. Buzz and Perry even look at us disgusted at times when we forget to clean up their mess.  Anyways… We figured if we can form a business around a need that would give busy families more time together and one less thing to worry about it’d be a worthwhile business.  Let us now if you agree and if we can help make your dog ownership more enjoyable.
